CUBA OPENS DOOR TO GOLF DEVELOPMENT

CUBA OPENS DOOR TO GOLF DEVELOPMENT: With the approval of Carbonera Club, Cuba has approved effectively opened the door to golf development on the island.  The Carbonera Club is set to become one of the first projects of its kind in Cuba.  Now, how many other possible golf properties are waiting in the wings? Property Wire reports that a Chinese-funded venture “is expected to be approved by the end of this year,” while groups based in Spain, Russia and Vietnam are also trying to hammer out Cuban development agreements. Not all of the proposals will make the cut, of course, but it’s evident Cuba is interested in tapping into the mega-Billion golf marketplace.  The African American Golfer's Digest will travel to Cuba in March 2014 for an exciting golfing excursion at Varadero Golf Course.  See details at http://www.africanamericangolfersdigest.com/cuba2014.htm  Stay tuned!
